Information Security Manager - Protective Security

Your role

We are expanding our Information & Cyber Security Organization within Business Area Surveillance and are looking for a strategic leader to head our Protective Security team. This role is key to bridging security governance and operational excellence, ensuring security remains both a requirement and a competitive advantage for Saab. As Information Security Manager for the Protective Security team, you will lead specialists responsible for governance and oversight of our most critical security frameworks. The team ensures compliance with strict protective security requirements, combining technical IT security with legislative obligations in an international and highly regulated environment.

Your main tasks will be: Ensure legislative compliance by leading the implementation of the Swedish Protective Security Act and Ordinance within Information and IT Security. Drive the protective security framework by defining and overseeing security standards, baselines, and requirements. Guide risk assessments and threat analyses, ensuring effective mitigation strategies aligned with business needs. Establish processes to monitor and validate security measures, ensuring resilience against evolving threats.

Preferred locations for this role are Solna/Stockholm or Kallebäck/Göteborg.

Your profile

Personal qualities are highly important for this role. We are looking for someone with strong integrity, sound judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships both internally and externally. You have solid experience in security governance and protective security and are skilled at translating complex legislation and standards into practical frameworks. You are comfortable leading specialist teams in a highly regulated and sensitive environment. Experience working with protective security within the defence industry is considered an advantage.

Required skills: Proven experience leading teams of high-performing specialists. Strategic mindset with the ability to translate organizational goals into actionable priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Good understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
